Event Summary
Join us for our annual Pre-Harvest party where we will have a number of food and wine pairings, release a number of new wines, exclusive wine discounts, and have live music featuring the Swagtones! In addition, Donna Lisa, one of our original founders and Make-A-Wish Representative will be on site with her coveted Make-A-Wish basket, hosting a silent auction, and other events to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
How to Arrive
This year the Pre-Harvest party will be located at 1900 Glen Canyon Rd, Santa Cruz, CA 95060 which is a beautiful location with so many possibilities. There is plenty of on site parking available--we highly recommend arranging carpooling, ride shares, taxis, or designated drivers so that everyone stays safe.

2:00 - 5:00pm | The Swagtones! A high-energy funk & soul dance band

5:00pm | Grab your wine and move to the next fun adventure--this party is over!
Wine Release
We will be debuting 3 new wines at the Pre-Harvest party that were recently bottled, as well as offering up 4 wines that were previously released, and one mystery wine for you to taste. This will be the exclusive place to get first access to these delicious wines--and at a discount! All wines purchased at the Pre-Harvest Party will receive a discount of 5%, in addition to member discounts. This will be the only way to get these prices. Be on the lookout for sneak peaks into our new release wines and delicious food pairings on the KBAA Instagram page!
In addition, a special pre-packed release case will be available for purchase at an even lower price!
Food and Wine Pairing
The food and wine pairing menu will feature a selection of 8 wines beautifully paired with delicious bites, starting small, working through an entree, and finishing with dessert.
Our food and wine pairings will feature a number of cuisines and exciting delicious wines. Food will be provided by the talented duo of Chef J.R. Chapman and Viviana Melendez-Chapman. J.R. Chapman studied culinary arts at Kendall College before interning at Mango Restaurant in Chicago. He worked his way through the Chicago culinary scene before becoming a District Executive Chef and Regional Chef at various tech companies in Silicon Valley. Viviana Melendez-Chapman has been managing corporate dining for over 10 years and was a Director of Catering and Director of Food Service before becoming CEO of Girasol Concepts (of the famous Girasol Pizza).
Make-A-Wish Fundraisers
This year we will once again be featuring Make-A-Wish for our fundraising charity. Opportunities to win a loaded gift basket in a raffle, verticals of previous wines that are hard to find, and a set of new release wines that aren't even released yet! That's right, this will be the first time that you will be able to get your hands on wines not even released. Including the 3 release wines from the party, you will also get your hands on exclusive new wines that won't be released for 3-6 more months!

If all of that wasn't enough, activites while at the party include a putting green, small basketball court, pond, shuffleboard, pool table, novelty slot machines, and more!
Designated Driver Ticket
Any designated driver will have non-alcoholic options to choose from and will receive a free tasting coupon to be used at a future date in our tasting room. A main ticket or designated driver ticket is required to enter the event for all attendees. A Designated Driver ticket entitles you to food pairings, non-alcoholic drink options, exclusive wine purchase discounts, and a free tasting coupon for future use at our tasting room. Designated Drivers will be identied at the check in table and not served alcohol. Any designated driver observed drinking alcohol will be asked to leave without a refund.
Dietary Restrictions
Please email us at info@kbaawines.com if you have specific dietary restriction questions to see if we can accomodate. We plan to have alternative vegetarian and/or gluten free options for most pairings.
Price
Before purchasing your ticket, please log in to your KBAA account in order to ensure you receive two tickets at member price. Ticket not required to participate in the Make-A-Wish benefitting portions of the event.
Taxes
Taxes are added to the price of the ticket to comply with California law because the ticket includes food and alcohol as a key component of the experience.
